About Nevada.in

An independent answer to the question: what is Nevada, really, beyond the postcards and the slot machines?

What we're building

Nevada.in is a practical, independent travel guide to the entire state of Nevada — not just the Las Vegas Strip. Official tourism messaging sells the dream; we do the homework. Our guides focus on the details that make or break a trip:

  • Realistic drive times between every destination, with honest fuel and services notes.
  • Honest value judgments — what's actually free, what's actually worth it, and what to skip.
  • Seasonal truth — the best month for each region and activity, including the extremes.
  • Responsible travel — Leave No Trace on public lands, respect for Native cultural sites, and support for the small towns that make Nevada weird and wonderful.
  • Regular updates on hours, fees and conditions — the boring stuff that matters.

Our travel philosophy

Nevada is huge — seventh-largest state in the union — and most of its best experiences require a car, a plan, and a willingness to drive past the point where most tourists turn back. We think that's a feature. The same trip can hold a Michelin-starred dinner, a haunted saloon, a 4,000-year-old tree and a sky full of stars; we want to help you sequence those honestly.

Cookie & privacy notes

We keep things simple. This site uses small cookie files to remember your preferences (like dismissing the cookie notice) and to understand, in aggregate, which guides are most useful — so we know what to update first. We don't sell data, we don't run ad trackers, and we don't collect anything beyond standard, anonymized usage stats.

  • Strictly necessary: remember your cookie choice and keep interactive features working.
  • Preference: remember filters and quiz answers within a session.
  • Analytics (anonymized): which pages are read most — never tied to your identity.

You can clear cookies anytime in your browser, or use the cookie notice button on any page to update your choice. Questions? Use the form below.
